This chair used to be my paternal granfathers. I remember sitting in this chair as a child, usually while reading books. Even now I enjoy sitting in it to read or watch television. It's in our bedroom so it doesn't get used often. As it's probably about sixty years old, it's for the best.
I want to get it refurbished someday but the last time I checked into it, it was going to be crazy expensive. I wouldn't dream of attempting it it myself with the tuck & roll upholstery. It's actually in really good condition other than the wear on the armrests. I would have it recovered with period correct fabric and probably in a dark forest green. The rosy pink isn't bad but not my style.
